Part-Time Job (Work Permit)

International students with a D-4-1 visa who have studied for more than 6 months are eligible to apply for a part-time job permit. You must obtain official approval from the Immigration Office before starting any work.

Working Hours

As our university is a Certified University, students with certified Korean proficiency can enjoy extended working hours.

TOPIK Level 2 or higher
(or KIIP Level 2+/Pre-test 41pts+/Sejong Institute Beginner 2+)

No Korean Proficiency Score Up to 20 hours per week

Note: These limits apply at all times, including semester breaks, weekends, and public holidays.

Attendance Requirement

To be eligible for a work permit, you must maintain excellent academic standing.

  • Overall Average Attendance Rate: Must be 90% or higher across all completed semesters.
  • Disqualification: If your cumulative attendance (average of all semesters) is below 90%, you are not eligible to apply for a work permit.
Required Documents

Please prepare the following documents before visiting the International Office:

  • Passport & Alien Residence Card (ARC)
  • Part-time Employment Confirmation Form: You can obtain this form at the Administration Office (Room508). It must be confirmed and signed by both the employer (the owner of your workplace) and the university representative.
  • Standard Labor Contract: A copy of the contract signed by the employer and the student.
  • Employer's Documents: A copy of the Business Registration Certificate (사업자등록증) and a copy of the Employer's ID.
  • Official Transcript: Showing your overall attendance and grades.
  • Proof of Korean Proficiency: (If applicable) TOPIK score report, KIIP certificate, or Sejong Institute certificate to qualify for the 25-hour limit.
How to Apply
  • School Approval: Visit the Administration Office (Room508) with all the documents above to get the university's official confirmation.
  • Submission: After the school approves your documents, you must submit the application yourself.
  • Methods: Apply online through HiKorea (e-Application) or visit the Immigration Office in person.
