The following are expenses that participants may need to cover individually during the program:

■ Friday, July 31 – Afternoon

Participants will spend time in Seoul with their team members and may choose to visit a traditional Korean tea house or try on hanbok (traditional Korean clothing). It is also possible to do both activities, depending on the team’s decision.

A traditional Korean tea house visit typically costs around KRW 10,000, while a hanbok experience usually ranges from KRW 30,000 to 50,000.

■ Weekend Meals

Official meals are provided on weekdays only. Participants are responsible for their own meal expenses during the weekend.

■ Other Personal Expenses

Participants may need additional spending money for personal purchases or free-time activities.

In general, you need a visa to enter Korea. However, citizens of certain countries listed in the link below may visit Korea for a short-term stay by applying for a K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) instead. 

Eligibility may vary depending on your nationality and country of residence. Please check with the Korean embassy or consulate in your country.

If your country is not on the list, you will need to apply for a C-3 visa.

Participants may arrange their return travel individually based on their own schedule, travel plans, and visa status.

KNU is planning to provide a shuttle bus to Incheon International Airport on the morning of August 6. 

Participants who wish to use this bus are recommended to book a flight departing after 3:00 PM on August 6.

Otherwise, participants are free to arrange their own transportation and flight.

1. Certificate

All students who successfully complete the two-week program will receive a certificate.

2. Transcript

Students from KNU partner universities may receive a two-credit transcript.

The course will be graded on a Pass/Fail basis, and students who successfully complete the program requirements will normally receive a “Pass” grade.

 ※Note:

The "KNU Summer Program" and the "KNU Online Winter Program" are considered the same course at KNU. Therefore, transcript credit for the KNU Summer Program will not be available to students who have previously participated in the KNU Online Winter Program.

Flight Booking & Airport Pickup

We will provide free pickup buses from Incheon Airport to the KNU Campus at the following times. You may choose either of the options below.

■ Pickup Location: Incheon International Airport, Terminal 1

■ Pickup Time: (Korean Standard Time) Wednesday, July 22, 2026

 Option ① 1:00 PM

 Option ② 4:00 PM

※ Please book a flight that arrives at least 2 hours before your selected pickup time.  

※ If your flight arrives at Terminal 2, please take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 1. It takes about 25 minutes, and shuttles run every 10 minutes between Terminal 2 and 1.

※ If your flight is delayed or you arrive after the scheduled pickup time, you will need to make your own way to the KNU campus. Limousine buses from Incheon Airport to Chuncheon Terminal run hourly and cost about KRW 26,000.

Once your payment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation letter

After that:

1. Check the visa requirements with the Korean Embassy or Consulate in your current country of residence.

2. Confirm whether any documents issued by KNU are required for your visa application.

     ※ If original documents are required, please inform us as early as possible so we have enough time to send them by post.

3. Book your flight to Korea.

Visa requirements and processing timelines may vary depending on your country of residence, so please make sure to check all requirements carefully with the Korean Embassy or Consulate in advance. 

We currently expect around 34 exchange students to join the program. 

Participants are from various countries and regions, including China, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Russia, and more. 

In addition, 7 KNU student supporters will participate in the program.

We expect each team to consist of around six members, although the final numbers may change depending on the participant situation. 

Once the participant list is finalized, we will share the team information in early July.

We will continue to share important updates and detailed program information via email before the program begins, including information regarding arrival, dormitory check-in, the schedule, and other important matters.

About one week before arrival, we will create a group chat for participants to share announcements and communicate more easily.

The staff of KNU OIA will be available to assist you during all official weekday activities. 

In addition, several KNU student supporters will stay with you in the dormitory and help you throughout the two-week program.
