Foundation Course

Kangwon National University’s Foundation Course is a preparatory education program designed to help international students smoothly adapt to university life in Korea and successfully transition into a degree program.

The program is offered in students’ home countries or regions prior to their enrollment at Kangwon National University. It is designed to deepen their understanding of the Korean language and culture while systematically building the foundational knowledge and academic skills needed for university study.

Students who successfully complete the Foundation Course are eligible for scholarship benefits upon admission to a degree program at Kangwon National University. In addition, credits earned through the Foundation Course may be recognized as credits toward their degree program.

Kangwon National University is continuously developing the Foundation Course to help international students become globally competent individuals, with plans to expand the program to more countries in the future.
