Part-time Work Permit
International students holding a D-2 student visa may apply for permission to engage in part-time employment.
You must obtain a permit before starting work. Working without a permit results in fines and will negatively impact your future visa status.
Applications for part-time work are accepted for up to one year within your authorized period of stay.
Restricted work: Accomodation business, Delivery Rider, Foreign Language Instructor etc. -Application unavailable.
Qualifications
- -Excludes first-semester students who have not yet been issued a transcript; however, the permission period for part-time work shall be limited to one semester (end of March or September)

•English track students: TOEFL 530(CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 601(NEW TEPS 327) or above

-Students from countries where English is a native or official language are exempt from submitting proof of English proficiency

•The unlimited hours also apply during semester breaks and on public holidays.
Required Documents
1. Alien Residence Card (ARC)
2. Part-time Employment Confirmation Form (Please consult with your employer and complete it in advance)
3. Standard Labor Contract (Please consult with your employer and complete it in advance)
4. A copy of the Employer's ID
5. A copy of the Business Registration Certificate
6. Transcript(Including the previous semester's grades) / First-semester students: Certificate of Enrollment
7. TOPIK Score Report or English language proficiency

How to Apply
1. Please prepare the above documents
2. Bring the documents to C9(Room 506) and obtain approval from the person in charge
*As the approval process may take some time, document approval must be obtained at least three weeks before the employment start date.
3. Apply online through the Hikorea website (hikorea.go.kr) or Visit the Immigration Office to apply in person
4. Permission (Once the permit is approved, you will be notified by email or text message.)
5. Start working part-time
